Use mealie meal to perfect skin tone

By SITEMBILE SIWAWA

Are you tired of using facial scrubs with no results??? Are those facial scrubs too expensive and draining your coffers??? Then you are on the right blog to learn of one of the most cheaper ways of making facial scrub using what you have right in your kitchen.

Recently, i had an opportunity to learn of  how to make facial scrub using maize meal.

I must confess it one of the cheapest but produces magnificent results which will obviously leave your friends and family wondering what sort of expensive cream you could be using on your face.

Well, the following are the steps to follow when you want to aqcuire that nice looking skin tone:

1.Get your favourite soap and i mean the one you normally use for your everyday bath.

2.Make sure you soak your hands and smear the soap on your hands until that foam is formed.

3.Apply the foam to your face but ensure it does not enter your eyes.

4.Get maize meal and smear it on your face and scrub on gently.

5.The scrubbing removes all dead cells on your face which can cause acne.

6.Wash it off with cold water. Cold water holds the skin firm.

7. Then apply your favourite cream.

made sure i tried the therapy in the night for effective results. You can also do the same.
It is as simple as this, all the ingredients are right there in your home and there is no need to spend a fortune on expensive and none performing facial scrubs.

Untill then....byee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Black really is beautiful,keep it

By SITEMBILE SIWAWA

When black really means beautiful#
I MUST confess my transition to adulthood was not expectedly pleasant and i would rather call it a troubled one.

First and fore most African women my age now went through a period where dark skinned people were looked down upon awfully.

It would sometimes reach an extent where you will be called 'black mamba', a name for a vicious venom spitting snake.

Imagine you being referred to something as vicious and dangerous as that, but anywhere little did we know the people who referred us to such were suffering from colonial hangover.

With all the scorn most dark skinned girls like me went through, majority of them succumbed to the pressures and found themselves rushing to local chemists to buy skin-lightening creams.

Others went a mile further by making  African concotions in an attempt to make themselves more lighter.

Now that was a period when being black and dark skinned meant you were not beautiful and being light meant you were beautiful.

Let me be quick to say that i almost fell prey to such calls and demands but my mother stood by me and encouraged me to soldier on.

My mother was really a focal point person in my life who encouraged me to keep going with my dark skin and be proud of it.

In her words and i quote "you may look dark now, people myn laugh at you but one thing you should really put your mind to is the beauty, you are very beautiful and you can never change that fact."

"Wait up until you start work and you start having your own money, this black they are laughing at now, they will start admiring it," she said.

Years have passed now, things and times have changed. my friends who took heed to the advise of the manipulators are now regretting, shame!!!!!

Many of them look scary now that their skins look rather too old for their age and are ashamed to even face me.

I wholeheartedly pity them looking at the life time mess they have put themselves into.

As for me, i must admit, no single day passes without someone complimenting my beautiful looks and know how that makes me feel???? wickedly proud of myself*********

Am glad i took heed of my mum's advise and whenever i come out of the house in the morning and there is always that radiance on my face, that does something to me.

So to all my friends out there, no matter the colour of you skin, shape of any part of your body, you can still perfect your imperfections.

If you fail to love yourself, how do you expect others to love you. we were all created in the image of our beloved heavenly father and what he creates, it can never be bad at all.

Identify your weaknesses and strengths and try to work on them and you will discover the amazing things that comes with accepting oneself..

Untill next time....xoxoxoxoxoxoxo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shake off 'Afro' this summer

By SITEMBILE SIWAWA
Try this..it works

MY favourite season (summer) is once again upon us and we will soon be doing away with our winter clothes.

Although it is my favourite season, two things annoy me during this weather...the sweating and bad make-up.

Applying powder during this season can be rather annoying especially if it is done in the afternoon when it is scorching hot and your face keeps sweating and worse off the powder  keeps coming off your face...arrgggg!!!!

Secondly people tend to sweat profusely and some do produce odour making others uncomfortable. If you are one of those who commutes on public buses, am pretty sure you understand what am talking about....

Well this is the season where we will see lots of summer dresses, vests, short skirts for ladies and muscle shirts and pants for gents coming out on the market.

It is great when you see both ladies and gents investing in such as it makes one look relaxed and comfortable.

But a word of caution please...as we wear our vests and muscle shirts please lets ensure that we shave our armpits.

There is nothing more annoying than seeing someone with a 'afro' in the armpits wearing a vest or muscle shirt.

NOOOO

Lastly please lets buy deodorant to avoid ardour and let me make mention that no matter how many times you put deodorant in the an armpit that has 'afro' it will make no difference.

So the best is to shave off the hairs and wear that nice smelling roll-on and put on that stylish summer dress or muscle shirt!!!xoxoxoxxo!!!!!

Know ur body type to dress right

By SITEMBILE SIWAWA
Seated by food lovers at levy junction quietly eating my chicken noodles, seeing women of various shapes and sizes going about minding their own businesses with some going there to do some shopping, some going out to eat as friends and others admiring the nicely built mall.
Whatever business must have taken any of them there, they all had one thing in common......they all looked exquisite due their sense of fashion.
It is amazing to see how Zambian women are seriously keeping up with fashion trends and how they are trying to be fashion designers in their own right.
Alas, it seems some do still  need fashion lessons to know how to dress right for their bone structure.
For lack of a better word i will use the word 'wierdos' dress something according to what they see their friends wear and what is in fashion overlooking what best suits their body.
whoa!!!!!you can find a lady with heavy features dressed in clothes that suits slimmer women and i will go like hmmmm....okay that will do on another type of bone structure and not yours honey*****
Others dress scanty and leave out flesh thinking that will make them look fashionable and sexy but nay it doesnt even make them look as they think.

A look at the pix on the left should give us a hint that one can still look good even without exposing flesh.
This kind of dressing really amuse me and it should inspire alot of women out there especially those who are curvy because they can still be sexy.
When curvys are covered in a nice piece like this one, they definitely flow and are put in the right place.

This pix also sweeps me off my feet when it comes to allowing the body have breathing space and just let it be.
so ladies as the common adage goes you are what you wear!!!so lets dress right for our bodies!!!!!xoxoxxoxxo
